Questions about what it’s like to work together?

Here are some of the most common questions I get about therapy. If you don’t see your question answered below, contact me.

  • Imagine getting therapy from the comfort of your home or wherever you are. With online therapy, you can chat with Leiora, a licensed therapist, through safe video chats and messages whenever you feel the need. It's like having a personal support system that's there for you, helping you talk through your feelings and achieve your personal goals. Best of all, it fits into your hectic schedule. You get the help you deserve, exactly when you need it.

  • I'm excited to work with you! Just to let you know, I specialize in online therapy and currently do not offer in-person sessions.

  • OON 101: Why I am an Out-of-Network Provider (OON):

Personalized Care Over Paperwork: I want to spend more time getting to know YOU and less time battling with insurance companies over paperwork and approvals. This means I can give you my full attention, rather than getting bogged down in red tape.

Staying True to My Vision: Sometimes, insurance dictates the kind of treatments or sessions you can have. I want the freedom to offer what I truly believe will benefit you, without outside interference.

Keeping the Quality High: Being OON often means I can give you more personalized attention. Without having to rush through appointments to meet insurance quotas, I can take the time to get to know you, your concerns, and offer holistic care.

Flexibility for the Win: Not having to stick to insurance guidelines can mean more flexibility in how sessions are run or treatments are given. This could mean longer sessions or innovative treatments, an insurance provider might deem unnecessary.

But here's the silver lining: Many insurance plans offer OON benefits, which means they'll reimburse a portion of the fees. There's also this helpful tool I offer called "Reimbursify" that will streamline the reimbursement process for you!

(Reimbursement rates and eligibility differ depending on your specific insurance plan.)

  • * (CPT Codes have been provided for your reference when calling a health insurer for benefits verification.)

Our current fee schedule is as follows:

New Client Intake Assessment: $215.00 (Insurance CPT Code: 90791)

60-minute Counseling Session: $190.00 (Insurance CPT Code: 90837)

90-minute Counseling Session: $230.00 (Insurance CPT Code: 90837)

    Clinical Supervision Individual Session: $100.00

  • A KP member may ask for an Out-of-Network (OON) referral to see a community therapist. If approved, Kaiser may pay OON benefits based on their plan. You would make full fee payment at the time of service to the therapist directly and then submit for claim reimbursement.

You would reach out to KP behavioral health utilization management to obtain approval prior to intake: 301- 552-1212, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
